The first is from the middle and toe portions, followed by the heel measurement. Snake Eyes Black Forged Wedges *Snake Eyes wedges are forged from the highest quality S45C carbon steel under exacting temperatures and pressure of 100,00 pounds per square inch. The result is a high performance wedge with a medium-soft feel (Rockwell hardness rating of HRB85) of forged carbon steel. *Forged “Black” wedges are suject to a special Titanium-Nitride treatment. This process gives the heads their exquisite dark finish. A smooth face blasting on the “black” wedges helps to frame the ball in the address position. * They feature a preworn, dual bounce sole which promotes solid contact on shots played from any lie. Bounce angles are reduced as the sole gets closer to the hosel, keeping the leading edge closer to the ground when the face is open. This reduces the chance of “skulled” shots around the green. *Snake Eyes wedges have been played by 43 players on the PGA Tour and 67 players on the Senior PGA Tour.
